The Enrollment Billing Specialist is responsible for entering new and updated customer account information and maintain the database.
Build a rapport with patients and sell them on the services Valuecare Pharmacy provides. Enter all demographics in the database in an accurate and timely manner. Enrollment Billing Specialist is the initial point of contact by enrolling the injured patient via telephone.

Required Duties/Responsibilities:

Data entry of injured patient information from referral source demographics in a timely and accurate manner
Contact injured patient and referral sources to obtain missing information including but not limited to: patient information, claim information, and prescriptions
Stays up to date on all referral source special contact instructions and procedures
Reviews claims to ensure accuracy prior to shipment
Monitors individual work queue to ensure all items are completed daily and assists peers as needed based on business needs
Handles inbound/outbound calls with prospective clients and educates callers on Valuecare Pharmacy’s services
Follows up with patients, law offices, and practice groups in order to ensure prescriptions are received in a timely fashion
Stay up to date on the relevant worker’s compensation legislation and prescription medicine guidelines
Works closely with Sales Liaisons and Pharmacy Department to resolve any issues which may prevent medications from shipping
Responds with initiative to go above and beyond to assist internal and external customers
Verifies name and address information of the referral source entered into MMS to ensure accuracy
Maintains consistent awareness and comprehension of policy and procedure changes
Communicates effectively and articulates ideas verbally and in writing
Maintains or exceeds the expected production and quality values

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Work is typically performed in an office environment with some physical demands such as: sitting for long periods of time (6-8 hours per day) bending, stretching, lifting, typing, speaking, hearing, handling, identifying, lifting up to 20 lbs., near acuity/clarity with or without correction, subject to inside environmental conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes, subject to moderate noise, and normal exposure to everyday risks and discomfort requiring common safety precautions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate professionally in person, over the telephone, through email and other electronic means, handle various types of media and equipment, and visually or otherwise identify, observe and assess. Responsibilities occasionally may require an adjusted work schedule, overtime, and evening hours in order to meet deadlines.

Required Experience Knowledge/Skills/Characteristics:

Associate’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2 years Call Center/Telesales/Inside Sales experience
Familiarity with Worker’s Compensation highly desired
Proficiency with MS Office Applications, Internet navigation and typing 35 WPM
Bilingual Language skills, particularly Spanish is a plus
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00 /year
